This was my first attempt at the quiz format and is also the toughest in my opinion. 10 positions to pick your brains on. The answers are based on Jellyfish level 7 evaluations and subsequent rollouts support the answers. All the positions are real and not fabrications. There are no trick questions, but in order to get many right you will need to know some backgammon fundamentals. Beginners and novices do not despair, as the quizzes are likely to challenge even advanced players. Do not forget to visit the analysis page as this is where you may well pick up the theory / concepts behind a particular answer.

A further 10 positions to clear the cob webs :-) Slightly easier but a wrong answer means a large equity loss (no small mistake). This time supported in the analysis by the author of the excellent publication "The Backgammon Handbook", Martin Fischer. Martin is a German lawyer by profession and has been playing serious backgammon for many years. Thanks go to Martin for his expert analysis. Each position was rolled out and some of them even played out many times to see exactly what was happening. Again the positions are not fabricated.

Due to the holiday period and work commitments this quiz is a tad late. Apologies for that, but I've finally got it up. I havn't had chance to feed this one to the "Guinea Pigs" :-) so I have no idea about how this quiz stands against the other 2 in difficulty. I have a feeling it is the easiest of the lot, but I said that about Quiz 2 and some of you found it harder than the first. Anyway here it is, I hope you enjoy it. A few "thank yous" to Martin Fischer and Michael Depreli who provided some of the positions. As Quiz 2 the positions have been rolled out on Snowie and the top moves found to be "correct".
